The Drug Take Back Event is a way to reduce access to prescription drugs and protect the environment by providing an opportunity for community members to SAFELY dispose of unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. The service is FREE.

Drug Take Back Event, Spring of 2022

Again we came together as a community for a great cause!

National Drug Take Back Event brought 129 community members to the Washougal Police station this past Saturday, where 317.50 pounds of medication was collected. This is medication that will not end up in the wrong hands!

We had 21 community volunteers and 8 paid staff members make this event possible.

Washougal Lighted Holiday Parade 2021

Washougal’s lighted Christmas Parade returned to Main Street in Washougal. Unite! members and community representatives dressed in lighted costumes to demonstrate how they Love Life in Washougal. The smiles and cheers from hundreds lining Main Street filled our hearts with joy! We love our lives in Washougal!

Drug Take Back Event October 2021

This is what a community coming together for a great cause looks like!

National Drug Take Back Event brought 86 participants to the Washougal Police station this past Saturday where 200.4 pounds of medication was collected. This is 200.4 pounds of medication that will not end up in the wrong hands.

We had 18 community volunteers and 6 paid staff make this event possible!

Red Ribbon Week in Downtown Washougal

Red Ribbon Week is off to a great start in downtown Washougal. Today, red ribbons were hung throughout the main street of downtown Washougal by Unite! Washougal Community Coalition volunteers.

Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. It began as a tribute to fallen DEA special agent Enrique Camerena in 1985.

Impact Camas-Washougal

IMPACT CAMAS-WASHOUGAL was a huge success On June 6th and 7th! What an amazing day at Impact CW. There were approximately 70 community volunteers joining volunteers of St. Matthew to help sort and pack 150 boxes of food grocery gift cards or tickets for school families in need in Camas and Washougal. It all went so smoothly. Our continued prayers and blessings go out to these families. Donuts and cookies were enthusiastically enjoyed. Reni made the most amazing Impact CW “Thank you” cookies! Thank you, Reni! The Musicians were wonderful! Thank you, Tatiana, for organizing the musicians! Also, thank you so much for everyone who donated money for food and gift cards and the amazing volunteers who gave their time to plan, shop and help pack and deliver the boxes to 19 Camas and Washougal schools. We really made an Impact together!
